Sexy girls and hot wheels
A spectacular photo shoot awaits the finalists when they come to Hanover in July. They will be swapping the four wheels of their wheelchair for really hot two-wheelers.

This year, the unfortunate issue of finances has forced beauties in motion to restrict the annual contest to participants from German-speaking countries. We hope that all the applicants from the other countries can understand our position. This decision was unavoidable and particularly difficult to take because we know that bim has a very high standing in many countries.

203 women have applied for the finals.
They are coming from Germany, Italy, Canada, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, Hungary, Bosnia, Russia, Ukraine and the US.

“I’d like to give these girls a voice”, was how Bruce Darnell announced his support for beauties in motion international 2008.
“This competition is unique throughout the world and I admire these women”, said the catwalk trainer, who has himself walked down the catwalks in the world’s fashion capitals.

For the past four years,

Germany's EXPO city, Hanover has been home to a model contest for people in wheelchairs. The enormous media interest, the flood of enquiries from the modelling industry, the courage of the event-holders and the commitment of all its supporters will turn beauties in motion into an event, unique the world over in 2008, too. beauties in motion is the first and only international modelling contest for women in wheelchairs.

Contest 2007:

The winner is Jelena from Serbia. The second place went to Sarah from Germany and the third to Simona from Italy. The three winners will receive prize money from Logocos to the tune of 2,000, 1,000 and 500 euros respectively. The special prize, awarded by the natural cosmetics manufacturer, goes to Ines from Germany. She has won a photo shoot for a campaign to advertise the company's product range.

Ten women from six countries have beaten more than 200 women to appear on the catwalk in front of a panel of professional judges. It was a splendid and impressive show, thoughtfully choreographed by Franci Wölki-Schumacher. First of all the women showed a casual look and in a brief interview put their personality in the spotlight. Then they showcased evening wear, created by fashion designer Mira Kötters, who was also a member of the panel. Jasmin Wiegand, a presenter on German TV channel RTL and member of the panel, is thrilled with beauties in motion, “These women have fantastic charisma. Which is great to see.”
